Tonight a little after 1930 hours the alarm was sounded for 26 Ridgetop Court in the Rustic Ridge section of Plum for a Cat stuck in the ventilation system of the residence. Chief 234 added the Special Ops 78 to the alarm as their units went in route on this snowy evening. Chief Davis arrived on scene with his units and started the investigation into where precious the kitty cat was in the house, the Attack and squad crew worked hard to figure out his location in the ventilation system. Precious the cat started on the 2nd floor joist space and  cold air returns, with the help of confined space cameras and thermal imaging cameras we found the kitty wedged in the cold air return in the basement. After a approx. 14 ft fall within the walls, Crews breached the ventilation system and rescued the kitty from his delema. The children and homeowner were excited and very happy. Hats off to Chief 234 (Davis) on excellent command work and very good measuring, maybe its that HVAC background. Rescue crews worked for approx. 2 hours and made the successful rescue at the 2hr 5 minute mark. GREAT WORK BY ALL UNITS OPERATING!!!!
