Building Collapse District 2, Special Ops 78 On the Way.

This evening at 1701 hours the alarm rang out for 2040 Borland Road at Arbco Industries reported building collapse. Chief 64 would arrive and establish Borland Road Command, adding SOC 78, 22 Engine and Truck Company 20.  Command would send the units to work as they arrived at the 400 x 200 warehouse, that had 100% roof failure and collapse of sides A,C and D. The building had a masonary block shell with a bowstring truss roof(also known as a Belfast truss). Bowstring truss has a top chord in the form of a circular or sometimes a parabolic arc. Chief 64 would take accountiability from the workers on site and determine that ALL would be accounted for, with that worry outta the way now the companies would control the utilites and secure and stop the 2 in gas line that fed the warehouse from the main shop and the electric Crews operated for close to 2 hours and Building inspectors were on scene with 64 as mutual aid companies returned.
